Row 14

Monday Nick took me out for dinner and drinks at Row 14 Bistro & Wine Bar.  We started with Ahi & Salmon Rangoons then split the Alamosa Striped Bass and the Wagyu Skirt Steak Frites (which I pronounce 'free tees' - and it drives him crazy :)) and we shared a bottle of Pinot - which reminded us of how bad we want to go back to Napa!

 

 

Goodbye Anne & Andy!

Saturday night we said goodbye to our friends Anne and Andy.  Anne and I went to Iowa together and lived on the same floor our dorm, Burge.  After college we lost touch and a few months back Anne spotted me shopping in Target and since then we've been able to reconnect and it's amazing how much we have in common!  Her and her boyfriend Andy took jobs in Chicago and are headed back to the midwest.  She's an Iowa girl and he's a die hard Michigan State fan - but I know she'll keep in check :)  I'm bummed they're leaving but fortunately they're going to a place I know we'll see lots of them.

 After saying our 'goodbyes' we headed down to Oktoberfest to meet up with Robyn & Phil.

OK, so as my sister kindly pointed out... I've been slacking at keeping this up to date - I promise to be better!  Last week my cousin Kyle was in town for work so I got to spend two nights with him.  Monday night we went to the Rockie's game with Kels, Court, Rae, Brittany & Elliot.  It was a beautiful night out - and the final home series for the Rockie's so we got one last game in for the season.

Goodbye Bryn!

This weekend I got to spend a bunch of much needed time with my girlfriends.  Thursday I went to a non-profit event for Goodwill with the girls followed by wine @ Emily's.  Cole and I went to the Rockie's game on Friday night with Allie and Kelly and then Saturday we all met at Brothers for Bryn's going away bash and the CU/CSU game festivities.  Bryn's taking a job in San Francisco with the 49er's, so happy for her and hopefully we'll get a chance to visit!

Congratulations to my friends Erin & Robert on welcoming Vera Agatha into the world!  Vera was born on September 17 at 7lbs 3 oz.  I can't wait to meet their new bundle of joy! 

Sweet Summertime

It’s official, my nail polish is dark, and my skin is white – fall is here.  Maybe it’s the Chicago girl in me, but I am so thankful we finally have some chilly weather!  It’s time for football, cozy sweaters, beautiful aspens, soy chai’s and red wine - well, it’s always time for that!

 Visiting Nick onsite in NYC.  Did a bunch of sightseeing and shopping and even got to get together with my friend Anna who was living in Brooklyn @ the time and just moved back to Denver - so happy to have her back!

 

In Chicago for Erins baby shower and my Aunt Donna's 50th birthday party.  Spent a day at Arlington Racetrack with my two favorite ladies Millonzi & Lindsey.

Camping @ Clear Creek.  Nick caught 5 trout and Robyn fried and cooked them up for dinner, he was so proud!

 

Back in Chicago for Keith & Kristine's wedding.  Spent a night downtown with Lindsey & Brian and my cousins Kyle and Kellie and Kellie's boyfriend Matt.  That night Lindsey asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding - I'm so excited for them!

I absolutely loved every second of this trip and I can't wait to go back!  We headed straight from the plane to the vineyards, first stop was here at Keller Estates.
